About the Port



Puerto Chiapas is located at the southern tip of Mexico on the Pacific coast and in the State of Chiapas. The port is located 32 kilometers from the city of Tapachula, a town with a population of over 400 thousand inhabitants, consumers of goods from all over the country and abroad, capable of being transported by sea to Puerto Chiapas. The state of Chiapas has a population of over 4 million inhabitants and a catchment area of 40 million people. The international airport is located only 11 kms from the port. It also has rail spur to the seaport.
